greytHR enables you to generate the Form 16 statutory document easily and plan its activities in a phased manner. To do so, you need to set certain required values in greytHR before you proceed with your first Form 16 generation.
The prerequisites to generating a Form 16 from greytHR are:
Set as per requirement in System Settings for Form 16. Ensure the Form 16 signatory details are entered.
If you select Merge Part A and Part B in System Settings, Part A and Part B will be merged and you can download it as a single file.
- Ensure all or selected employees have PAN and email entered in greytHR.
- Download Form 16 Part A and Part B files of your employees from TRACES.
- Save Part A downloaded files as a zip file in the format of PAN_Assessment-Year such as AAAPP3230D_2019-20. The PAN of the employee should be available in greytHR.
- Save Part B downloaded files as a zip file in the format of PAN_PartB_Assessment-Year Range such as AAAPP3230D_PartB_2019-20. The PAN of the employee should be available in greytHR.
Set the Financial Year in Form 16 page. The financial year is always one year preceding the Assessment Year. If AY is 2019-20, then select FY as 2018-19 from the date drop-down list in the Form 16 landing page or the Part A or Part B pages.
