The Manual Override feature allows you to override the attendance status of employees who report to you. To manually override the attendance of an employee, go to Leave > Admin > Manual Override. Here, you can override the attendance either shift-wise, employee-wise or date-wise.

Shift Wise Attendance Override

This method helps you to override single or multiple shifts for a particular period. You can even specify open ended shifts. To override the attendance shift-wise, perform the following steps:

Override Single Shift For Single Day 

  1. In the Shift Override tab, select Assign option as Single Shift.
  2. Check the box Override For Single Day.
  3. Select the Effective From date. This is the date for which the shift must be overridden.
  4. Select the shift to be overridden.
  5. Select the employees whose shift must be overridden. You can use the employee filter drop down to narrow your search.
  6. Click the Override button.

Open Ended Shift Override

  1. Click Leave > Admin > Manual Override.
  2. Select the Effective From date. This represents the shift start date.
  3. Select the shift to be overridden.
  4. Select the employees whose shift must be overridden. You can use the employee filter drop down to narrow your search.
  5. Click the Override button.

Override Single Shift for Multiple Days

  1. In the Shift Override tab, select Assign option as Single Shift.
  2. Do not check the box Override For Single Day.
  3. Select the Effective From and To dates. This is the period for which the shift must be overridden.

    In case the To date is not provided, the shift is considered as open ended, which means the shift is applicable until it is changed.

  4. Select the shift to be overridden.
  5. Select the employees whose shift must be overridden. You can use the employee filter drop down to narrow your search.
  6. Click the Override button.

Override Multiple Shifts 

  1. In the Shift Override tab, select Assign option as Multiple Shifts.
  2. Select the Effective From date. This represents the shift start date.
  3. Select the To date. This represents the shift end date.

  4. Select the shift to be overridden.
  5. Select the employees whose shift must be overridden. You can use the employee filter drop down to narrow your search.
  6. Click the Override button.

You can do a day wise shift override in the Shift Roster page for any employee. Then, this override will take priority over the manual shift override performed in this page.

Employee Wise Attendance Override

This method overrides the attendance status of a particular employee for a selected date range. To override the attendance employee-wise, perform the following steps:

  1. Click the Employee wise tab.

  2. Search or type the name of the employee whose attendance status you want to override.
  3. Select the From and To dates.
  4. Click Search. A table appears displaying the dates within the selected date range.
  5. Select the check box appearing against the date that you want to override.
  6. For the selected dates, choose the appropriate status under the Session 1 and Session 2 columns.
  7. Click Override. A message appears stating that the records have been overridden successfully.

Date Wise Attendance Override

This method overrides the attendance status of multiple employees for a particular date. To override the attendance date-wise, perform the following steps:

  1. Click the Date Wise tab.

  2. In the Attendance Date field, select a date from the calendar. A table appears displaying employees with their shift code and attendance data within the selected date range.
  3. Select the check box appearing against the name of the employee you want to override.
  4. For the selected dates, choose the appropriate status under the Session 1 and Session 2 columns.
  5. Click Override. A message appears stating that the records have been overridden successfully.

Override

This tab allows you to delete the already overridden attendance of the employees. The data can be deleted only if the attendance period dates are not locked. To delete the overridden attendance dates, perform the following steps:

  1. Click the Override tab.
  2. Select the employee(s) whose attendance you want to delete.
  3. Click the Delete button, at the end of the page. A prompt message appears.
  4. Click Confirm. A success message appears and the data is deleted.
